I’m working on a story for the Chicago Sun-Times about the International Entrepreneur Rule (IER), aka the startup visa program. The IER was an executive order that President Obama signed to make it easier for startup entrepreneurs to immigrate to the U.S.
However, the implementation date fell within the Trump administration, which basically shelved it. Now that Joe Biden is in office, there are calls to implement it.
